Too often I have been contacted with heart breaking stories from devastated people whom have fallen victim to one of these internet kitten scams.

I have had enough and feel the need to post this notice to try to prevent this from happening to the next victim.

Not only are these internet websites and ads claiming to have "The Amazingly Rare and Unique" for a ridiculously high price, but some are ficticious websites painting a pretty picture while taking your money and shipping you a totally different cat or nothing at all. Most of these sites are kitty mills and/or brokers claiming you are purchasing a sweet lovable baby that was raised underfoot, when the reality is that these poor animals have been raised in small cages under horrific conditions with very little or no human contact at all.

Please educate yourself before you deal with an unscrupulous breeder claiming to be selling you something rare and obscenely expensive with slogans like:

"BE PREPARED TO BE AMAZED" or "RARE AND UNIQUE"

When you buy from these kitty mills, you are financing and encouraging the abuse and neglect of more helpless innocent animals.

There is no such thing as a registered TEA CUP, TOY,  PASHMINA, CASHMERE, CHICHI, NAPOLEONS, RAGAPERS and many other ficticiously named "UNEXISTING NEW BREEDS".   These cats are the results of hybreeding or inbreeding with other breeds and domestic cats to create a different look or color pattern and these new breed names are solely invented and created by the person/breeder whom is seeking to rip you off of several thousands of dollars, leading you to believe that you are purchasing a rare treasure which in reality is nothing more than a "MIXED BREED" that is unregisterable. Often these cats come with "falsified registration slips" and are genetically unfit with compromised immune systems that will require tremendous medical attention, expense and in the end sometimes a broken heart.

TEA CUP and/or TOY PERSIANS as they call them are nothing more than genetically weak runts and by breeding "runt to runt" they enhance the major genetic faults creating substandard weak small specimens with compromised immune systems and major health problems. Often these babies are starved to prevent them from growing and developing so they stay under a certain weight. Ethical CFA Breeders DO NOT breed to create runts or cats that do not meet the CFA BREED STANDARD.

Some color patterns are not recognized by CFA, therefore they are not registerable and that is why these breeders claim they are rare. Reputable breeders do not pair up cats whose offspring cannot be registered due to an unaccepted color pattern.

Prices for a registered persian kitten/cat vary from breeder to breeder. Taking into consideration the kittens/cats bloodlines, show achievements, color pattern,  and the individual qualities determine the value of a kitten/cat.

You should not be paying thousands of dollars for something an individual labels as "Amazing, Unique and Rare." Too often it is the undesired qualities of the Breed Standard that many of the Ethical and Reputable breeders have worked long and hard to eliminate from their bloodlines.
